Product Description I used to have a fellow senior from my hometown, who was involved in upcycled casual and Japan vintage remakes, do the sewing for me. However, after he suggested, "Why don't you try making it yourself this time?", I started making them myself. For some of the darker navy parts, I've used new woven fabric (washed several times). This is a shinai bag made by dismantling old kendo uniforms and preserving as much of the original shape and cutting lines as possible. The distortions, traces of removed strings, and sewing marks are intentionally left, creating a one-of-a-kind item that allows you to feel the passage of time the material has experienced. The butt of the bag uses sulfur-dyed navy deerskin. This is a durable material used in protective gear, so you don't have to worry about color transfer during transport.
