A portion of the collected stamps affixed to the doctor's writing paper. ＜ Hermann Clemens Grauert ＞ 1895 (Meiji 28) - 1980 (Showa 55) Graduated from the University of Munich, a German physician. He also held a Doctor of Medicine degree in Japan and married a Japanese woman. He continued medical charity work for 40 years. His book: "The Road to Tomorrow: A Doctor's Recommendation" 1958. Arrested in 1943 (Showa 18) for the crime of abortion. His father, Hermann L. Grauert, came to Japan around the first year of Meiji and was a businessman who succeeded his brother's trading company, and served as a committee member of the Yokohama Foreign Cemetery Management Committee. Both father and son are buried in the Yokohama Foreign Cemetery. M1017B
