Crockett & Jones is a shoe manufacturer founded in 1879 in Northampton, a town about an hour's drive northwest of London, where many shoe manufacturers are located. It was established by Mr. Charles Jones and his brother-in-law, Mr. James Crockett. The company is now in its fourth generation and is still managed by Jonathan Jones, of the Jones family. In 1924, they manufactured high-quality ready-made shoes that even the Duke of York (later George VI) admired, and they received a visit from the Duke. Subsequently, in 1990, they were awarded the Queen's Award for Export Achievement in the UK.
