Antique Obi Fabric, Classic Patterns Beautiful woven fabric in purple and orange, featuring floral and bird motifs. - Colors: Combination of purple and orange - Design: Floral and bird patterns, classic design - Material: Woven fabric, silk - Features: Decorative design using gold thread Stored in a small paulownia chest in my parents' house. It's quite old, said to be silk from the Meiji or Taisho era. *Three pieces of purple fabric* I don't know what they were originally, but I imagine they were obi for single-layered kimonos. There is one severely damaged area (photo 8), perhaps because it was a place that was easily rubbed during use. There are also two small holes in the same fabric, but the other two pieces have no holes and seem to be holding their shape. The patterns and their sizes are shown in photos 2-7. The shippo (seven treasures) pattern on the ground is also beautiful, and the reverse side (photo 9) shows the exquisite craftsmanship of the manufacturing process from the thread crossings. Colors: Dark dove gray purple, subdued gold, subdued silver Design: Phoenix, butterflies, chrysanthemums Sizes: Approximately 35.5 x 111cm, 32.5 x 106cm, 32.5 x 62cm *Scraps of rust-red obi fabric* There are no noticeable scratches or stains on the surface, but it has aged. The folds are particularly damaged. The patterns and their sizes are shown in photos 14-16. The reverse side is also exquisite and captivating (photos 17, 18). Colors: Rust red, gold, indigo blue (saba color), beige Design: Phoenix, cherry blossoms, chrysanthemums Sizes: Approximately 22.5 x 19cm Approximately 29 x 53cm (front side with folds 16.5 x 50cm) Photo 19: Arranged on a hallway that is 90-97cm wide. I decided to list these, hoping they can be used for Ichimatsu doll costumes, kimono remakes, making small items, and creating interior goods.
