There are no markings, but based on the blackening that was wiped off, it appears to be a silver ring. This is one of the items I received from a close relative, which has been stored in my personal jewelry collection for a long time, I don't even remember when. Based on the inclusions and appearance, it appears to be a black star sapphire. As the size didn't fit, it has been stored in a dark room for a long time without being used. I can't see any damage to the stone with the naked eye. As it is believed to be easily scratched silver, there are fine scratches on the ring if you look closely. The photos have not been edited. Photo 1 was taken in natural light with a spotlight from an LED light. Photos 6 and 7 were taken under LED lighting with a spotlight from an LED light.
