A clear contrast is created between the bird in the basket and the plum blossoms with a slightly subdued tone in the lower part of the painting, with a bird approaching them.
It's as if the bird in the cage is dreaming of its former freedom.
There is an inconspicuous light stain (see photo ⑤), but it is still a good piece because it has been framed by a professional.
