This is a slightly deep, flower-shaped plate. A five-petaled flower pattern is in the center, and persimmon trees and grass on rocks are depicted around the edge, with beautiful sometsuke coloring. The persimmon pattern is, I think, unusual. There is a thin crack in the center, but it does not leak water, so it can be used without any problems. The origin of the crack can be seen on the back, but as you can see from the photo, it is a crack that was originally formed during firing. I believe it is Arita ware (Imari) from the late 17th to early 18th century, but please make your own judgment regarding the age.
