These are my homemade juggling props. Although I haven't used iron plates, they are similar to those used in the fire knife dance seen at places like Spa Resort Hawaiians in Japan and the Polynesian Cultural Center in Hawaii. They are about 82cm long, roughly the same size as the pair displayed at Spa Resort Hawaiians around 2006. They are made of wood, aluminum, and tennis racket grip tape.
