Made of aramid fiber, it is less likely to impede the movement of the tailpiece and strings compared to the commonly used vinyl ones, resulting in a more resonant instrument. It often has a greater impact on the tone than the strings themselves. Also, it tends to yield results more easily than trying various strings. If you are experimenting with the compatibility of your instrument and strings, we recommend starting with replacing the tail cord.
