You put the garlic in the indentation and squeeze the lever, and the garlic comes out in a squiggly fashion. Unlike conventional presses, the part that crushes the garlic is spherical, allowing you to crush it thoroughly. After use, wash it with water and wipe it well, and no odor will remain.
