Among Ogatsu stones, those mined at Odomariyama are called Odomari Stone. The history of Ogatsu Suzuri is said to date back 600 years, and Date Masamune is said to have praised this high-quality stone and made inkstones. ○ This work has a lid beautifully split along the stone grain, and the inkstone is made by carving a circular hill and sea within a square. The unique stone patterns of Ogatsu stone are beautifully visible, with about 10 lines running horizontally from left to right on the hill and sea.
