This is a ceremonial envelope (fukusa) made using traditional Nishijin weaving techniques from Kyoto. This is an unused item from an older era (deadstock), carefully stored in its original unopened plastic wrapping, and in very good condition. Similar woven patterns and textures are rarely seen today, making this a valuable piece as a Showa-era Nishijin-ori fukusa.
