Ajrakh is a type of block printing, a traditional Indian textile from the state of Gujarat, India. The 'Khatri' community uses hand-carved wooden stamps with motifs of Islamic flora and fauna, pressing them one by one by hand to layer colors and patterns. Since the prints are done by hand, the atmosphere may differ from the images or fabrics previously purchased, even with the same colors and patterns, due to variations in dye formulation or how the wooden blocks are pressed. There may be color variations, bleeding, weaving imperfections, or strong dye odors, but these are part of the unique texture of handmade items using natural dyes. The thickness of the fabric may also vary depending on the lot. Please wash separately from other laundry as there may be color fading. Avoid leaving wet items with light-colored fabrics for extended periods. Fragments of flora may be attached, but they will come off during washing.
