This is a hand-painted [set of large plates] designed by Masatoshi Saeki, a ceramic artist selected as one of the "10 Designers of the World" by the International Museum of Ceramic Art in Faenza, Italy, who passed away in 2019. These plates are from the 1970s and are no longer in production. They are vintage items from 50 years ago. [Size] Diameter: Approximately 22.5cm Height: Approximately 2cm These plates were stored for a long time at my parents' house and are unused. Because they are hand-painted, each piece has a different design, giving them a unique character. They have been stored in a dark place, so there are no noticeable stains or dirt, but there are some fine scratches if you look closely. Please understand that these are vintage items before purchasing. *Due to the nature of ceramic ware, there are "kannyu" (crazing). "Kannyu" refers to the fine crack patterns that appear on the surface of the glaze due to the difference in shrinkage between the ceramic body and the glaze during the cooling process after firing. This does not affect the strength of the vessel and has been enjoyed as a beautiful pattern since ancient times.
