The color is beige. It may appear darker due to the lighting. The sixth photo is probably the closest to the actual color. The ribbon can be removed. This is a handmade item by an amateur. I have made efforts to minimize any discrepancies and thread ends, but please understand that this is a handmade item. Super glue has been used on the center of the pom-poms to make them less likely to come off. Although I have stated that it is "like new," I did try it on for size adjustment.
