It allows you to attach S-mount lenses from Nikon rangefinders and old Yashica/Contax lenses to Micro Four Thirds mounts. I purchased it for S-mount lenses, but I decided not to buy any S-mount lenses, so I no longer need it. It's a beautiful item, only tested on a GH4. It is exclusively for S-mount lenses with external claws. It cannot be used with internal claw lenses. Also, depending on the lens you attach, there may be significant play, or infinity focus may not be achieved, or it may not be usable at all. I am not familiar with the details of S-mount lenses, so please research compatible lenses yourself before purchasing. Also, there are no electronic contacts, so all exposure and focus adjustments will be manual. This is for advanced users of old lenses, so please refrain from purchasing if you are a beginner.
