Made from a tsumugi (pongee) fabric. It has a smooth, soft feel. This is a very nice quality tsumugi. It has a sheen, so the color appears darker or lighter depending on the angle. You can hear the characteristic squeaking sound of tsumugi (^^) The lining is made from the hakake (underskirt) of a kimono.
