Here are some handcrafted birch bark items and individual serving plates. For those who want to enjoy a Japanese-style table setting with the wood grain of cedar and cherry birch bark, or for everyday use, perhaps for serving sweets or traditional Japanese confections. I believe these were received from relatives in Akita around 1975. After being used a few times, my grandmother kept them carefully stored. Please check the condition in the photos. The individual serving plates are from Tayama Kobo. I believe they are Akita cedar. The tiered food box has some thin scratches on the lid and on the corners. I've included photos, but they don't show up very well. For those who love folk crafts, or have connections to Akita, or for everyday use, how about these?
