Sanbon Railway Record Collection, Kibito Publishing, Nobuhiko Konishi The Sanbon Railway opened in 1915. It ran for 16 years, until 1931, covering a distance of about 7 km, connecting Kokuseiji Station in present-day Mondayashiki, Naka-ku, Okayama City, and Sanbon Station in Enami, Naka-ku. In 2012, the Sanbon Railway Research Group was established to uncover the reality of the Sanbon Railway, which had been forgotten by local residents. In 2015, as part of the 100th anniversary of its opening, various commemorative events were held with railway enthusiasts and local residents. Efforts are being made to pass on the history of the Sanbon Railway, which supported the development of the region, to future generations.
