This is a discontinued turquoise patina version of the Berluti Toujours Scritto Leather Tote Bag, a classic alongside the Un Jour. The Toujours, one of the most popular bags in Japan, is a versatile tote bag embodying the maison's concept of "forever." While the Toujours is now available in various sizes like Gulliver, Mini, and XS, this base size comfortably fits an iPad, laptop, and A4 files, making it suitable for business, shopping, and travel. It has sturdy handles with a generous length, allowing for shoulder carry. This is a newer model, featuring a key ring for attaching keychains or bag charms. The color is a special order, combining the popular Nero Grigio (gray) with a turquoise blue calligraphy, which was available for a limited time until the summer of 2024. Purchased with an additional charge, it was delivered three weeks after the order, making it impossible to buy in stores. It's rarer than the Golden Patina or Silver Patina, and is no longer available even through special orders, so you're unlikely to see anyone else with the same bag. Original price was ¥545,600 + approximately ¥30,000 for the upgrade. This is a guaranteed authentic item purchased at Berluti Ginza in the fall of 2023, and is eligible for free and paid maintenance, including polishing and color restoration, at Berluti stores nationwide in Japan. The lining has been changed to white cotton linen since last year, making it more susceptible to stains and wear. However, this model features the previous waterproof black Alcantara lining. The fabric is durable, resistant to stains, and the black color allows for worry-free use.
