Thank you for viewing. This is a coral obi止め (sash fastener) in the shape of a chrysanthemum, which I obtained over 20 years ago from an antique dealer at an auction for about ¥42,000. The upper right area appears to be chipped, but it seems to be designed this way due to the white spots on the edge. Also, the small chrysanthemums and leaves on the upper left have noticeable white spots. There is no maker's mark, and the material of the metal parts is unknown. The weight is 17g, the size is approximately 3 x 4.5cm, and the thickness is uneven, so please check the images. The part where the obijime (sash cord) passes through is small, so only a shibu-himo (a type of sash cord) can pass through. If you use a sanbu-himo (another type of sash cord), you will need to devise a way, such as attaching a small, transparent silicone hair tie sold at 100-yen shops to the metal fitting and passing the sanbu-himo through it. When I purchased it, it was sent in an old paulownia wood box (flat and long) that was clearly the wrong size, like for a comb, with the contents wrapped in bubble wrap and the lid floating. Therefore, I have stored it in a jewelry box. There is no cosmetic box, so the contents will be simply packaged with bubble wrap. It will be packed in a box. Due to the high price, it will be shipped via Takkyubin Compact so that it can be received in person, but if you prefer Yu-packet Post, I will discount the difference in shipping costs.
