This bag can be used with both Japanese and Western styles. It's made of a fabric similar to stiff corduroy. Like canvas. I liked that a paperback book fits perfectly in the front pocket. There are some creases, but I think it's in good condition. Height: 21cm, Width: 24cm, Depth: about 10cm. I think you could say it's a sturdy tote bag.
