I handcrafted a tote bag from a pale pink Nagoya obi, using a patchwork of the embroidered parts and plain sections featuring camellia flowers. It's made entirely from the obi, and the obi core gives it extra structure. The pale pink background beautifully complements a single camellia flower floating on the surface of water, creating a sweet, elegant, and adorable bag for adults. A stiff interfacing is used for the outer fabric. The inside uses cotton fabric in the same wine color as the handles.
