I've cut off the fabric tag, so I'm not sure of the material, but it feels like cotton. It's thin for a knit, so it might be closer to a thick cut-and-sew. I don't think there are any major stains or frays, but because I cut off the fabric tag, I've marked it as "slightly dirty."
