If the temperature doesn't rise quickly, you can increase the temperature setting, and it will eventually get hot. I would get inside the inner towel when it reached around 50 degrees. The latest models seem to go up to 80 degrees, but personally, around 60-65 degrees was just right, I sweat enough, and I've never used it above 65 degrees. I bought it to help with cold sensitivity and for dieting, but I only used it about 5 times, so I'm selling it. I threw away the box. The inner towel has a used feel, as I washed it every time.
