1940s Leather Woven Shoes These leather shoes were crafted with woven leather and developed for the summer season in the 1940s. Historical documents confirm they were sold with ventilation features to ensure comfort. We've identified multiple design patterns. The woven type was the premium version, while the punched-hole type was a simpler, more affordable option. Among them, this particular pair represents what I personally consider the most outstanding design. While USN service shoes from the WW1 era (1910s) and the WW2 era (1940s) are scarce regardless of condition or size, this pair is even rarer, likely due to a lower production volume compared to the mass-produced military footwear. They offer both comfort and a cool aesthetic, while still projecting a more refined impression than sandals, making them suitable for a wide range of occasions. They would pair well with military pants like Baker pants or fatigues. Size: 7E Condition: Deadstock, only tried on once. Vibram half-rubber soles have been applied, and they are in nearly unused condition with no damage.
