For sale: PIANISSIMO violin mute. This device silences the violin by using strong magnets to surround the bridge, minimizing its vibrations. A key feature is that it doesn't cover the bridge, allowing you to see the strings clearly. It can also be used in conjunction with heavy practice mutes and other metal mutes for even greater sound reduction. I purchased this new from a major musical instrument store about two years ago and used it when practicing while checking my bowing.
