I purchased this from an antique shop in Kamakura about 15 years ago. The embroidered fabric scrap of a peony-like flower is a bonus. It appears to be unfinished. It features gorgeous, beautiful embroidered images reminiscent of the Heian period, such as a woman in a twelve-layered ceremonial kimono and plants. Gold and silver threads are used extensively. It seems to be machine embroidery, but I'm not sure what kind of embroidery it is. The fabric has wrinkles, but there doesn't seem to be any noticeable stains. I apologize if I missed anything.
