Thank you very much for viewing. This is an offering of a Minton cat and mouse teapot. The original cat and mouse teapot was manufactured by Minton in the 1860s. The teapot being offered here is a rare item, a reproduction manufactured in 1995 as a limited edition of 2500 pieces. It depicts a mouse engrossed in eating a carrot, startled by the gaze of its nemesis, the cat. The cat's expression as it eyes the mouse is also wonderful, making this a very decorative teapot. The serial number is 363. It is a display item, so the inside is also in a clean condition.
