It's a chocolate-like brown and bronze color. It seems like a color that would be easy to match with any outfit. There are three pockets inside: a zippered pocket, a flat pocket, and a pleated pocket. I've taken good care of it, so there are no noticeable scratches on the outside. The inside also appears to be satin-like, but there are no snags. The foil on the center part of the handle has come off (especially on the back). The foil on the tag of the ball chain attached to the handle is also partially missing. The bottom has turned reddish in some areas, possibly due to aging. Similarly, there are reddish areas around the base of the handle, but they are small and not very noticeable unless you look closely.
