It's a subtle color, like a mix of light beige and light gray. It's a fresh color for a pair of mukluk boots. They have rubber soles for comfortable wear. When putting them on, you can slip them on, but when taking them off, you'll need to hold the heel a little. I bought them in December and tried them on indoors. I usually wear 23cm, and they fit comfortably. I think they would be fine with thick socks. I bought them to wear with skirts, but the weather has been so cold that I haven't had a chance to wear them, so I hope someone who can use them will take them. I finally found these with a heart charm in the taupe color, which was hard to find. Regarding the box, I cut off the lid and stored it in the shoe closet.
