Because they weren't wealthy at the time, glass products were not readily available, so ornaments were sometimes made using paper and candy wrappers. The dealer's grandmother, when she was a child, used candy wrappers and other materials to make lovely decorations. This garland is also thought to be a handmade item from such a household. Each piece of silver paper is carefully rolled into a circle and strung on thread. They were resourceful and decorated with things they had at home. I was touched by this wonderful story.
