This guitar was made by Fujigen during the Made in Japan era. Inspired by the original '58 GT, this guitar has been relic-treated (sanding, etching, etc.) on every detail, including the pickup covers and even each individual screw. This creates a guitar that is both practical and visually appealing, ready for immediate use or display. It was made in 1998, so it has some scratches and rust commensurate with its age, but I think that adds to its character. It has been used in live performances, but I have taken good care of it. The dents are from when I acquired it. In my subjective opinion, the neck is almost straight, the truss rod has room to spare, and the frets have 70-80% life remaining. (Exterior) * Replacement of damaged parts (jack plate, escutcheon) * Cleaning and greasing of the tuners (improving tuning ease) * Changed the truss rod cover, lightly tinted amber. * Bone nut? (Details unknown as it was from when I acquired it, slightly translucent.) * Minus PU mounting screws * Deburring of the bridge saddles (improving tuning stability) * Speed knobs * S-Lock pins * Relic treatment of the pointer washers * Long-type jack (prevents interference from L-shaped shields) (Interior) * SH4/SH1 pickups (compatible with high gain) * CTS pots (A 500) / SW jack * Japanese-made oil capacitor replica (0.022uF) * 1950s WE black enamel 24GA wire (purchased from PRO CABLE, no explanation needed) * Single-wire ground, no cutting between pots (slight improvement in clarity?) * Kester 44 solder * The inside of the cavities isn't exactly pretty, but there have been no disconnections or short circuits. Beyond the modifications, the craftsmanship of Fujigen is superb, and the wood is dense, resulting in excellent resonance. The elegant note definition is evident even when played acoustically. It sounds great with a little reverb on the front and middle pickups, and the distortion sounds great too, making it fun to rock out with the rear pickup. The exposed wood peeking through the chipped paint, the aged, rusty parts, and the mahogany grain on the back, neck, and headstock are mesmerizing. Isn't it a common experience with a beautiful guitar to pick it up intending to just look at it, and then realize an hour has passed? (laughs) Also listed on other flea market sites. A non-original soft case is included as a bonus.
