The gold plating is thin in some places. There are no dents, and the mouthpiece itself is in good condition. As protection, a fluorine coating agent for jewelry (Sweat Barrier) has been applied. It's extremely thin, so I don't think it affects the sound, but the feel in the mouth is a bit closer to silver plating, and it has a grippy feel.
