They are designed to be easy for children to put on themselves. The water-repellent nylon upper provides a soft feel. The instep has a wide Velcro strap that is easy to operate, allowing for adjustment of the fit. There is a loop on the heel for easy handling. They have excellent heat retention and are perfect for outings on cold days. My grandchild used these a few times during one season. There is some wear and tear, but the soles are not very worn, and I don't think there are any major noticeable scratches or stains. These are warm and lightweight shoes.
