It has gained immense support from professional drummers, even in tense live performance situations. The drop clutch allows for instantaneous switching between open and closed hi-hats. It is an essential tool for drummers who use double pedals. By hitting the lever with a stick to release it, the hi-hat is closed, and by stepping on the hi-hat pedal, it can be switched to open.
