It's a smooth, flowing material. Navy blue with a beige pattern. I cut off the tag, so I don't know the exact material, but it's a comfortable shirt with stretch. The buttons start around the chest, so you'll need to wear an inner layer that's okay to be seen. The fabric is thin, but it doesn't feel see-through when worn.
