This is a G-key kena, Argentinian type, made of Japanese bamboo. It has vintage rose-colored thread wrapped at the top and bottom. Like the shinobue flute, it has a brand burned into the end of the tube. The inside is coated with cashew lacquer (burnt umber) to prevent corrosion and mold, just like the shinobue flute, and it produces a beautiful tone.
