This is a deep, sometsuke (blue and white) bowl from the mid to late Edo period. The interior features large and small windows with sometsuke paintings of morning glories and small birds (perhaps sparrows?), surrounded by intricate patterns. The underside is beautifully decorated with a stylized floral and bird design. The condition is excellent. The size is: 25.5 cm in diameter at the mouth, 15 cm in diameter at the base, and 9.5 cm in height. It will be carefully packaged and shipped. Thank you for viewing.
