The inside of the lid is marked "Kanazawa Nosaku." These are six small, elegant lacquerware wooden plates with gold maki-e, shaped like a natsume (tea caddy), with a red base and gold Hanabishi (diamond-shaped) and autumn grass maki-e, housed in gold-rimmed containers. One plate was opened, and the second was opened as well. We confirmed that the two plates had the same maki-e design, so we did not open the remaining four plates for the images. The small wooden plates with the graceful autumn grass gold maki-e and gold rims give a refined impression. These are carefully crafted Kaga lacquerware, enjoyable both as tableware and as a collectible, making them valuable from two perspectives.
