(Excerpt from the sales site below) The PlexiRanger is an overdrive pedal with two boost controls and two types of low-cut pre-boost. The booster section features Carl Martin's signature crystal clean boost, as well as a frequency boost that adjusts the frequency band to be boosted. It also features a low-cut switch to cut the often-bloated low end. Two types are available to match the sound, and you can switch between them and bypass. The drive section produces sounds ranging from booster-like to crunch sounds. Furthermore, by combining it with the booster, a wide range of sound making is possible, up to high-gain overdrive sounds. The PlexiRanger incorporates a specially developed DC/DC converter circuit, allowing the pedal to run internally at ±12V to maintain excellent sound quality and headroom. The pedal is powered by a 9V DC 100mA external power supply.
