This strobe cover is made of neoprene rubber, the same material as wetsuits, and is suitable for underwater use. The cushioning of the fabric itself protects the strobe during underwater use and transport. It generates approximately 96g of buoyancy on its own just below the water's surface. Like wetsuits, the buoyancy depends on the depth of submersion. Buoyancy decreases proportionally with depth. Large slits are provided on the sides to prevent the strobe itself from overheating. *Blocking the strobe's heat dissipation can cause problems such as damage due to overheating of the internal circuits.
