Muneatsu Nakamura A lacquer artist from Yamanaka, Ishikawa Prefecture. Born in 1932. The surface features pine bark lacquer (see photo of the bookmark), with pine, bamboo on the sides, and plum blossoms on the underside of the lid, creating a "Sho-Chiku-Bai" (pine, bamboo, and plum) motif. Suitable for celebrations, but can be used anytime. Opening the lid reveals beautiful maki-e lacquer work, which is delightful. There is a small scratch on the side (see photo).
