This is a product imported from overseas. It's a set of vintage-style P-90 pickups using Alnico 5 magnets, with soapbar types for the neck and bridge positions. These pickups use two Alnico 5 magnets, following the vintage style. The construction is exactly the same as current Gibson P-90s. Moreover, the build quality here is more meticulous and the shaping is well-calculated. Current Gibson P-90s... frankly, you have to wonder how a large company can get away with such construction. It's cheap, isn't it? I own a few myself, and the baseplates are bent, the dimensions of the baseplates are off, and they're not even symmetrical... Even Historic Collection guitars seem to have these pickups, but I vowed never to buy them again. (I mainly use Gibson P-90s from the 50s to 70s.) Getting back on track, instead of the vinyl wires often found in cheap pickups, these use braided shielding wire (the mesh wire) for the lead wires, following the vintage Gibson style, for noise reduction and sound stability. Furthermore, they've thoughtfully changed the pole piece spacing between the front and rear pickups. While Wilkinson, GOTOH PICKUPS, and even cheaper P-90s in the same price range have a cheap feel with extremely thin vinyl wires and amateurish soldering, this is a different level of craftsmanship. The resistance is ideally around 6.8k〜7.2k for the neck and 7k〜7.8k for the bridge. Some people reduce the coil windings if the resistance is over 9k, as it can become somewhat boomy, so I think you can expect rich mid-range tones and harmonics-rich highs. My vintage P-90s also tend to be in the 7-9k range. However, P-90s have a powerful sound output relative to their resistance. The lead wires are approximately 220mm long for both the neck and bridge pickups. If you feel the neck side is a bit short, adjust the solder point of the wire retainer on the back. You can extend it by about 2cm. The size data is shown in the image, please refer to it. Mounting screws and springs are included.
