This is a gold-leafed, premium oil soot ink called "Kinkan Sohō" from the long-established Nara ink maker, Kobaien. Ink body weight: 27g Ink body size: 86mm x 20mm x 10mm This was part of my father's collection, who was a calligraphy instructor, and it appears to have been purchased about 40 years ago. While there is some evidence of use, it is a very valuable ink of the highest quality, made by Kobaien in the 1970s. As it has been stored for a long time, there is some soiling on the box.
