Purchased about 10 years ago. Used for a coming-of-age ceremony. The ivory base is woven with gold thread embroidery, giving it an elegant and very luxurious appearance. Perfect for a special occasion. I've taken the photos in the shade because it shines in the sunlight, but the actual color is a brighter ivory. Used only twice and carefully stored, it's in beautiful condition with no stains or damage. This is a gorgeous and expensive obi. I bought it to match a navy blue furisode, and it's a very beautiful and lovely piece. I no longer have a use for it, and while I feel it's a waste, I hope someone else will wear it again.
