I carved the head of a horse, the zodiac animal for next year, from Yakusugi (a type of cedar from Yakushima, which is also a pun on "warding off evil"). I set two 4mm onyx gemstones for the eyes. I considered making the legs as well, but the wood is prone to chipping, so I only made the head. Dimensions: 40 x 23mm
