Diatomaceous earth has countless tiny holes, making it very light and capable of absorbing a large amount of water. Also, due to its self-breathing nature, the absorbed water is naturally released as water vapor when it reaches a certain amount. You can maintain a smooth surface without having to drain water every time. If you use it for a long time, the absorbency can be restored by lightly sanding the surface with commercially available sandpaper (around #400). Comes with a drainer pocket for spoons and chopsticks. With dividers, you can store and dry items separately by type, allowing for efficient use. Caution: The diatomaceous earth tray is fragile. Dropping or bumping it can cause it to break. Please handle with care. When using it for the first time, you may notice an odor from the diatomaceous earth tray, but this is the smell of the diatomaceous earth components and is not a problem.
