This is an actual Tairyoki (fishing flag) that was used at sea. It has a nice faded color, a well-worn feel, and is made of soft, comfortable cotton. The purple Tairyoki looks brighter in the photos, but in reality, it has a more subdued, calm color. The color on the mannequin is closer to the actual color. I made it into an A-line jumper skirt. As accents, I've incorporated patchwork and sashiko stitching from other Tairyoki in various places. The pockets are double pockets. I used a small pocket as an accent color. I think it turned out cute. This might be a first-come, first-served item (lol) The seam at the back hem uses the original Tairyoki seam. The reverse side is showing, but I intentionally used it because I wanted to showcase the pattern (see photo 12). Please refrain from purchasing if this bothers you.
