It's a navy blue dress, almost black. The fabric has a slightly sheer quality, but the bodice is lined down to the hem, so it shouldn't be see-through at all. The sleeves aren't lined, but I don't think they'll feel very see-through when worn. I think it can be worn as a formal dress. There's a snag on the left thigh (photos 5 and 6).
